  Mission Statement

Champions fitness strives to provide a clean environment with top of the line equipment, providing a comfortable atmosphere for a diverse group of people. We also strive to help our members reach any goal desired.

  History

Champions Fitness is family owned and operated and was started in January of 2002. Champions Fitness was founded by Horacio Tavares, prominent business owner in the community and his son Michael Tavares a recent graduate of Northeastern University. Horacio, an immigrant of Sao Miguel, Azores Portugal has been in business for over 30 years and is president and owner of Horacio’s Welding and Sheet Metal Inc., a successful metal fabrication company. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science Degree in Engineering Management. Both Horacio and Michael were workout partners and enjoy staying fit.

Champions Fitness was then started and has been running successfully since January 2002. All top line equipment was used and we pride ourselves on the cleanliness of the gym.

  Philosophy

Our philosophy is to provide a comfortable, clean, atmosphere for all of our members. In addition, we provide our members with a full array of membership options. We do not like to make anyone feel chained to our gym. We want them to feel at home…
